What do you think of them? Can they hurt you? I made one and have received some good feedback. Check it out and tell me what you think:

I stooped to merciless animal exploitation in mine, and I don't think it sold any books.

Right now, there isn't a real way to judge whether book trailers help or hurt -- though, unless the trailer is truly awful, it isn't likely to hurt sales.

One day, maybe, trailers will be a valuable tool in the promotional box, but right now no one seems to know what to do with them.

That being the case, were I a beginning writer, I'd be hesitant to spend much money having a trailer produced.

Several words are spelled wrong and you only use one uncompelling image over and over. The "hooks" didn't connect and make sense to someone unfamiliar with the book. My 2 cents.

My son tried it with the I-book he wrote and was stunned to get orders from all over the world.

Thanks, Nancy.

Yet no matter how hard I try, I can't get the little monsters to earn their own keep.

He advertised it on his web site and on My Space and U-Tube. He's selling his music the same way.

Hi James...I have two trailers, one for each book. I found that they will increase people to your table at a book signing. If the store allows it, put the disc on your computer and having it playing during your session.
Best of everything.

Hi..Guys and gals...I have seen the trailers, they are great. I am wondering if my trailers tell too much of the story? Please view and comment. Be gentle, my old bones are hurting today and I might just faint. (Ha) Yes. I am silly. My trailers are on youtube but they are also on my website under books. The first one, please click on the square box on right, then click play, the second one, just click on it. I have not yet tried to make one. These were made for me by two different authors. I sent in the material and they just made it for me. Anyway, thanks for the look see....Be gentle on old granny...I know you will.....sure....let me sell you some ocean front property in Arizona. (Ha) Really, thanks for any comments.

You do know that your first video does not work? On the second one. I like it. I am not sure about the mix of video and stills but it does a nice job explaining the book.
