Courtenay Smith Brown is the principal writer of CSBWrites, a full service writing, editing, and publishing firm. Courtenay has edited numerous fiction and non-fiction publications during her 15+ year career.

Her writing has been published in USA Today, The Washington Afro and Upscale magazine. Courtenay has appeared as a guest on CNN’s Sonya Live program. In June 2006, Courtenay edited and published Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning’s best-selling debut book, Our Savior, Our Sisters, Ourselves: Biblical Teachings & Reflections on Women’s Relationships (Journey of Faith).

Courtenay holds BA and MA degrees in English from the University of Maryland at College Park and George Mason University, respectively. CSBWrites is a member of the Independent Publishers Association.
